Art School Is in Session

"Back to School" fever has hit our house and we are finding ourselves doing various art activities. AJ's favorite medium (is that the correct term?) is play doh, but she has also enjoyed scribbling using crayons and painting with water and food coloring. Take a look at her fun!

Thought some of you, mainly my sis, would like to see a bump shot. The baby is certainly growing, as am I!

Saturday Fun at the Park

We discovered a new park over the weekend that has lots of fun things for kids to enjoy. First, AJ loved looking at the geese and ducks in the creek. Then, we took a train ride through the park with AJ shouting, "Choo! Choo!" and waving to passersby. Finally, we ended our park experience with a ride on the carousel. AJ had a blast!

Animal Sounds

AJ is growing up so quickly. She is talking up a storm, even putting two words together like "bye-bye Da Da!" Her favorite things to say are different animal sounds. I think her first animal sound was "quack," which she now shouts for emphasis. Here are a few of her favorite sounds to say.

We Love Story Time!

Our local library hosts a weekly toddler story time and we have been enjoying our time there. We read stories, sing songs, and dance. Afterwards, the librarian breaks out the toys and the kids go crazy playing together. Here are a few pictures of AJ playing.

Dancing Queen

On Thursday evenings, we have been enjoying local music in the park. Last week, AJ had a particularly good time, as she boogied the evening away. Watch out! Pretty soon she is going to be dancing on tables at fraternity parties! Not that I know anything about that . . .

Hey Jealousy!

Is it wrong to be jealous of three stuffed baby dolls and a stuffed Elmo because they receive sweet kisses from my baby AJ? I just wish she would shower me with the kisses she so lovingly gives to her favorites! When I ask for a kiss, AJ responds, "NO!" with a firm shake of her head. Someday . . . .
